Our educational community is one of the most supportive you will find anywhere. In addition to the emotional and spiritual support you will receive from the people you meet, we also provide many layers of academic support to help you reach your goals.

Academic Advising helps students plan and develop their academic career through individual and group advising. Academic Advising Centers are available in the College of Arts and Sciences, the Panuska College of Professional Studies, and The Kania School of Management.

Pre-Professional Programs prepare students for further studies in medicine, law and engineering. Our pre-med and pre-law students have remarkable success in winning admittance to the top schools in the country. Our two-year pre-engineering program introduces students to the technical training necessary for all phases of the engineering profession.

 holds 618,324 print and electronic volumes; 49,799 print and full-text online journal titles; and 213,402 full-text electronic books that users can read on smartphones, tablets and computers. It is the leading academic library in Northeastern Pennsylvania. There are 100 computer workstations in the library, and iPads, Google Tablets and laptops are available for students to borrow. The Reilly Learning Commons, the Pro Deo Room and the second floor are available 24/7. Students may chat with a Librarian via phone, "Ask a Librarian," IM, or text. The Media Resources Collection holds 23,088 non-print items and provides access to 24,145 streaming media programs. The University Archives and Helen Gallagher McHugh Special Collections houses the University's historical records, rare books, faculty publications, and other special collections.

Study Abroad offers the opportunity to learn important life skills while living and studying in another country. Our uniquely flexible program allows you to take advantage of U.S.– sponsored programs or to enroll directly in a host-country university. In the past, students have studied in more than 53 different countries.

Technology Support Center is available to help students, faculty and staff efficiently use the University’s computing systems, software, networks and facilities.
