The Â鶹´«Ã½'s Office of Community Relations seeks to connect the University and the Greater Â鶹´«Ã½ community. We invite area residents, community leaders, non-profit organizations and businesses to engage in the life of the University through campus events, special programs and collaboration. At the same time, we encourage University's students, faculty and staff, and to join in the many exciting activities taking place in the Â鶹´«Ã½ area.

Â鶹´«Ã½'s Story Oral Histories & Portrait Photographs Spring Exhibition through April 21

Meet & Greet with the Project Team and Interviewees 

Public Reception, Thursday, April 4, 6:30 p.m.

5th Floor, Weinberg Memorial Library, The Â鶹´«Ã½ 

Over the past two years, the Â鶹´«Ã½ community has explored themes of history, belonging, and identity through Â鶹´«Ã½’s Story: Our Nation’s Story, a series of humanities-based programs that culminated in an oral history initiative called “Â鶹´«Ã½ Stories.” First launched in fall 2023, this exhibition showcases portraits taken by photographer Byron Maldonado and personal statements and interview links from 33 community members to give voice to a broad array of Â鶹´«Ã½ experiences and connect them to our national story. 

At the public reception, attendees will have the opportunity to meet members of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Stories team and oral history interviewees and discuss the project.
